  3. 1 tsp sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preparing Chole (Chickpea Curry):

  • If using dried chickpeas, soak them overnight or for at least 6-8 hours. If using canned chickpeas, drain and rinse them.

  • Roll each ball into a circle or oval shape, about 5-6 inches in diameter.
  • Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Once hot, gently slide in the rolled bhatura.
  • Fry until they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides. Remove them from the oil and drain excess oil on paper towels.
